The frill is the whole point – it sits at the shoulder rather than the wrist, so it does not catch on anything and does not get in the way of a swing. Lilac cotton jersey, with short shorts cut to the same tone.

Covered elastic at the waist, flat seams, tagless neck. Nothing stiff, nothing to crack after the third wash.

Sizes 1-2 through 7-8 years – the smallest range in the collection, so check the size guide before ordering. Every age carries the garment’s own chest, length and waist in inches. Between two sizes, take the larger one.

Machine wash cold with like colours, inside out.
